When I first heard of the Warrior Training it was in one of our services in Silvermine Fellowship. I expected it to be men and women of God coming together to be equipped to better serve God and find God’s purpose for their lives.
The training went over and above what I expected. I got to do so many things I never thought I could. The training still helps me today, as I know there is nothing I cannot do in God and with Him. The training also helped with my personal relationship with God.
The highlight of Warrior Training for me was being put in the deep end, instead of drowning swim out. I learnt to know my strengths and embrace my weaknesses. Understand that I can do anything as long as God is with me. I do not have to know everything it’s all right to learn from others. Accept people for who they are as they have to accept me as I am, instead of envying and looking down on them.
I can say the ways I changed during Warrior Training was: Acceptance – embracing my strengths and weaknesses. Contentment – this is a place where I see God working wonders in my life instead of worrying and blaming myself for things I have no control over. Where I am is where God wants me and is working His miracle for the advancement of His Kingdom. Love – God is love and He wants me to experience His love so I can share it with those that are in need of His love. His love is selfless and unconditional. I learnt to love other without conditions. When I attended the Warrior Training I was broken inside from a relationship that did not work out. I blamed myself and struggled to come to terms with what had happened but during the training I learnt the power of Forgiveness and making peace. I am now in a better place and I hold no grudges as I know God always has a plan. Joy is not conditional; God gives us joy even in times of hardships.
I am different after Warrior Training in that I understand God’s plan for my life and so can positively contribute to my family, workplace and community as a whole.
The people I would recommend attend Warrior Training is any one, Christian or not, the programme is carefully put out so that even if you are not sure where you are with God you would not feel out of place, instead it would enlighten your life to better understand God. Christian, your walk with God will never be the same again. The training also equips people to live according to their purpose as God planned it for them as they come to understand God’s ways. Your life will never be the same in all levels.
The three top benefits anyone attending can expect from Warrior Training are: 1. Getting to know God more. 2. Getting to know their strengths and weaknesses for better functioning in all area of life. 3. Understand that their lives are driven by God’s purpose and thereby find peace, joy and love in all circumstances.
You don’t always need to be in control to effectively contribute to tasks at hand, supporting role can also be fulfilling. Anyway – kings are servants – means that one has to serve in order to lead. You need to always learn from others as they are constantly learning from you. Our lives are different for this purpose that we all are important in advancing God’s Kingdom on this earth. We cannot be imitators of each other otherwise some things will be neglected to everyone’s detriment.
We are living in a world of seeking to be more than others even at the cost of our wellbeing. Attend Warrior Training has taught me to accept me as I am. Be at peace where God has put me, because it is His will for me to be here at the moment. This has increased my confidence and understanding that I am not alone and God knows about me. He has not forgotten. This has brought peace, joy and love that is contagious. Be true to myself teaches other to learn the same and thereby focusing on who they are than measuring up to other people that bring misery. I perform better at work. I support my family and they support me. My friends even the people I meet on daily basis I get along with them better. I open myself to follow on Christ’s footsteps – Love without limits.
